When we where expats in Taiwan we learned a lot about adapting to living there. Others also have a tremendous amount of tips from medical to food and here is the thread for all things connected to Taiwan Travel.
Medical:
If you live and work in Taiwan; then I recommend paying taxes and using their medical coverage. For the most part it is very good and you cannot beat the prices. If you then want to use the higher end cancer center then do so and you will get a portion covered my the government insurance plan. Keep cash on hand for emergencies and you should be fine. Your employer or secondary insurance should be purchased in case you need medical transportation back home for treatment.
